Let's make this simple.  9 times out of 10 when you read something on Facebook and you say to yourself "Well, I didn't know that", it's because it's not true.  The latest is the myth that ice water is for dogs.  You may have heard a little story about a dog named "Baran" (which I guess is Baron badly spelled).

Think for yourself, how many times have you seen a dog drink out of an open ice chest? If ice water was bad for dogs, you'd be tripping over dead dogs.  Let me go one better, what the hell do you think dogs drink in the winter or the north? Uh...that would be ice water.  As far as the "bloat" or "cramps" you may have heard in the ice water myth, your dog is more likely to have those problems from drinking too fast.

Here's the Snopes online article on the topic. For those of you not in the know, Snopes is like the "Mythbusters" of the internet.

Now, let's do humanity a service, and please pass this correct this information around as much as people passed the phony information around.  Share, share, share.
