Jared Linnen has been a video essay freelancer at Loudwire since 2021. Don't mention the Red Hot Chili Peppers around him (or any 90's alternative rock really...) or you might never get a word in. His music journalist journey started as an independent podcaster, but his short-form Youtube videos eventually led him to the History of Rock section of Loudwire's Youtube page. He has played in bands as a drummer and bass player since he was 16 years old, and is currently doing his finest Flea impression with his band out of Toronto, Canada.
