This past weekend I threw it down in Brady, Texas for The World Championship BBQ Goat Cook Off in Brady, Texas and I had a blast.

I really didn't know what to expect when Danielle and her family was telling about this Goat Cook Off and just how many people were going to be in Brady to celebrate and 1-2-BBQ. I mean when they are telling you that there will be 15,000 people coming to Brady to throwdown and the town in only 5,500 I mean where do you put all those people.

The cook off took place a Richards Park in Brady and as soon as we pulled into the park I could see just how huge this going to be.

We met up with Danielle's family, which had already set up camp and then we started to take in all that is the BBQ Goat cook off. They had all sorts of competition for all the cooks out there. Of course there were judging for brisket, ribs, and mystery meat category and the big one, who could BBQ the best goat. I can't tell you who won any of the categories but I can tell you there wasn't anything bad that I ate. My personal favorite was the habanero pineapple spare ribs and when I am saying that these could have been the best ribs I have ever eaten I am not lying.

After the sun went down that's when everyone kicked back and started the party with dancing and all kind of other shenanigans. I am not going to go into details on what exactly went down but when you look like I do in Brady, Texas you get some looks! And yes I did get pulled over from one of the DPS officers but everything was cool and skated on by with a warning.
