I am very stoked to say that Demon Hunter has welcomed Jeremiah Scott to the band and will take the place of guitarist Ryan Helm.

Jeremiah Scott is a very well rounded musician. Having played bass in the band The Showdown and producing Living Sacrifice.

Demon Hunter consists of Ryan Clark (vocals) Jonathon Dunn (bass) Tim "Yogi" Watts (drums) Patrick Judge (lead guitar) and now Jeremiah Scott on rhythm guitar. Not only are these guys some of the coolest dudes in the business, but I am also glad to call all of them friends.

We spoke with both Jeremiah Scott and Tim "Yogi" Watts about the new lineup and what to expect from Demon Hunter with the addition of Jeremiah.

"They approached me about it," said new guitarist Jeremiah Scott. "We have just been long time friends. They didn’t even hold auditions or anything they just straight up asked me and I immediately said yes."

Scott played with both Watts and Judge in The Showdown before. The three will all be reunited in Demon Hunter and Jeremiah couldn't be happier about it.

"I’m just glad to be a part of it and play some fun songs. This will be the first time I’ve been in a band where I didn’t really have much creative input and I’m kind of looking forward to it because now I just get to jam out on other people’s songs.  It’s going to be pretty metal."

Scott isn't the only member of Demon Hunter who is excited about the addition. Drummer Tim "Yogi" Watts is excited to be back with his old former band mate and good friend in Scott.

"I’m super excited," said Watts. "I was in the Showdown with Jeremiah for a while, as was Patrick, and so it was kind of just the natural evolution. It just made since to replace Ryan from within and what better person than Jeremiah."

The addition of Scott now brings about a new sense of brotherhood between the band, but that doesn't mean they won't miss Helm. Watts says that the parting was mutual with Helm, but the new lineup should be something to get excited about.

"It’s a move that’s going to rejuvenate the band a lot. We parted ways with Ryan amicably. Just time for both parties to move on and we enjoyed having him in the band for the last record and the couple years he was in the band but it was definitely time to move in a different direction."

The new but familiar look of Demon Hunter will hit the road in 2012. They'll tour both Europe and North America in support of a new album set to be released this year.

Helm has started a new band called Damien Deadson and will release an album in 2012 as well.
