Floydada Punkin Days Set For This Weekend

Did you know that Floydada is known as the pumpkin capital of the Texas?

Well, now you do.

And to celebrate that title each year the Floydada Chamber of Commerce along with all the farmers and residents of the small town get together the second weekend of October to celebrate the towns cash crop of pumpkins.

This year's Punkin Festival will be held Saturday, October 8th.

The fun kicks off Saturday morning with all kinds of pumpkin themed events including pie eating contests, games, crafts and much, much more.
