On Friday, March 3rd, Frenship ISD was notified of what the district is labeling as "inappropriate communication" between a teacher and a student. The staff member later resigned after being questioned.

While the district hasn't released the name of the teacher or what exactly was said, the school shared their findings with authorities after their own investigation.

The Frenship ISD district released this statement in response:

Frenship ISD takes the responsibility of fostering a supportive and safe learning environment for our students very seriously. We hold our employees responsible for their public conduct even when they are not on active duty as district employees. Behavior that violates our standards is unacceptable.
