Friday Hit-and-Run in Lubbock Turns Fatal, Victim’s Identity Released
A hit-and-run at Slide Rd. and 4th Street Friday night resulted in the victim, 24-year-old Alejandro Hernandez, dying Monday morning at a local hospital.
According to KAMC News, Police were called out Friday night to the 400 block of Slide Road, but now believe the accident happened in the 500 block.
The driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid, and there is currently no full description of the car that stuck Hernandez. Officers say that the vehicle will have significant damage to the driver's side mirror and headlamp. The suspect may have been driving a Dodge Durango or Dodge Dakota.
