What Triggered the Freeze-Dried Fruit Recall

The freeze-dried fruit products are being recalled over potential Listeria contamination, according to the FDA. Listeria can cause "serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems." It can also cause pregnant women to miscarry.

The company discovered the potential contamination during routine internal testing. No illnesses have been reported.

The product was distributed to many states, including Texas.

Which Freeze-Dried Fruit Products Are Affected

Member’s Mark Freeze Dried Fruit Variety Pack 15 count boxes, with UPC 1 93968 50900 2. There are many lot numbers and use-by dates affected by the recall. All the use-by dates are in 2027 (freeze-dried fruit has a very long shelf life), so it is important to check your pantry now instead of potentially getting sick later.
