Get Your Hashtag On for the FMX Big Purple Party

Be prepared for the FMX Big Purple Party with our official hashtag!

Hashtags tend to confuse people, but they're actually simple ways to search for and sort information. What's interesting is the hashtag is the number symbol, but it really could have been any symbol.

Knowing the proper hashtag allows you to filter out the stuff that doesn't matter to you. For instance, if you type in #cats, you are only going to get the conversations where other people typed in #cats. If you just typed in "cats," you just might get every conversation that ever contained the word cats (which would be a hell of a lot of information).

Shorter hashtags are better, but sometimes you have to stretch out. For the FMX Big Purple Party, we are shortening the hashtag to #FMXpurpleparty (leaving out the word big).

We want you to be able to find the info on this specific event and type as little as possible. We were also concerned that if we just went with "purpleparty" you might end up on some kind of Prince thread or something.
