A decade-long fight to get back into postseason play is finally over for the Houston Astros, who claimed the sixth and final spot for the AL on Sunday thanks to a loss from the Angels.

Finishing the year 10 wins above .500 is a huge improvement and the postseason berth speaks for itself. The Astros finished off their season with a 2-1 series victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks, though they dropped the final game 5-3. The loss didn't mathematically matter for a playoff bid, but the Astros could've earned home field advantage for Thursday's Wild Card game.

Jose Altuve and company will now re-aim their sights on the New York Yankees and will try to continue their run on Tuesday in New York. The one-game Wild Card showdown will decide who gets to play the Kansas City Royals.
