Houston Cruises Past Texas To Clinch Lone Star Series

The Houston Astros woke up from Saturday night's flatness and used electric bats to dazzle in a win over the Texas Rangers Sunday. The final from Minute Maid Park was 10-0.

Ace Dallas Keuchel for Houston provided plenty of defensive help with a great outing, logging another double-digit strikeout game with 13. Rangers starter Yovani Gallardo had trouble pinning his fastball early, and couldn't quite get rolling throughout the game, surrendering five earned runs.

Luis Valbuena was the hero in the batter's box for Houston, hitting four balls and bringing in four runs on five at bats.

These two teams will battle for the Silver Boot once again starting on August 2nd in Arlington.
