If you were looking to enjoy the splash pads this morning the grand opening has now been changed.

The City of Lubbock announced Monday morning a reschedule for the grand opening of the Rodgers Park Splash Pad due to weather.

After years of planning and building, three splash pad locations will be opening during the middle of the Summer here in Lubbock. Back in 2022, the Lubbock City Council voted to replace some Lubbock pools with splash pads. The council used around $5 million dollars to build the splash pads.
