Electric competition is coming to Lubbock later this year and the Lubbock City Council is getting ready for the big switch. And one of the ways city leaders are preparing for the big switch is by making sure the citizens of Lubbock have as much information as possible.

Over the next several weeks, members of the Lubbock City Council along with representatives of Lubbock Power and Light will be hosting community meetings across the city where the switch to retail electric competition will be discussed and questions from residents will be answered.

According to a press release from the City of Lubbock. The first meeting is on Monday night.
