Texas Tech Climbs Higher In The New College Football Playoff Rankings
Texas Tech Football controls is own destiny. Keep winning, and your in. The same could be said for about eleven other football programs. The reality is, it hard to win every week in college football, especially in the Big 12. But Texas Tech has been handling their business on the field and on Tuesday they rewarded with a jump in the College Football Playoff Rankings.
Texas Tech Football Jumps to #6 in the Nation
After Texas Tech's big win against BYU on Saturday, Texas Tech is ranked as the number 6 team in the nation according to the College Football Playoff rankings, which are pretty much the only rankings that matter. If the season were to end today, Texas Tech would host a first round game against #11 Miami.
Of course the season isn't over yet and Texas Tech will host UCF this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. UCF comes into Lubbock with a 4-5 record overall, 1-5 in Big 12 play. The game will air on FOX.

If Texas Tech continues to win, they will play in the Big 12 Championship Game. Win that game and you automatically in the College Football Playoff.
