Kevin Harvick Takes Charlotte Victory

It took outlasting Jeff Gordon during a green-white-checkered to earn that all-important Chase win, and Kevin Harvick did just that Saturday night in North Carolina.

As we move closer and closer to the climax of the Chase for the Sprint Cup, things are continuing to get more interesting. We may see Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson not make it to the next round of the Chase, but you certainly can't count either of those two out.

As far as this week's race went, Harvick showed he's clearly one hell of a contender, holding off the field for the large closing portion of the race.

Jeff Gordon checked in with another quality finish in the runner-up position, with Jamie McMurray, Joey Logano and Kyle Busch behind him. Of course, sensation Kyle Larson recorded another solid finish in sixth.
