Lubbock Goes Bonkers For Free Alamo Drafthouse Popcorn

When y'all said you miss movie theater popcorn, y'all were NOT kidding.

This past Friday (April 24th), Alamo Drafthouse in Lubbock ran out of popcorn after they handed out a whopping 800 boxes.

Traffic got a little...nuts. This is a shot of the traffic during the event via TxDOT. The cops even came to help with traffic. Y'all were perfectly well behaved.

I spoke with Alamo's management team shortly after the event. "It was incredible! I can't wait until we can reopen. Everyone was so nice and gave such kind words," they told us.

I also can't wait until Alamo Drafthouse returns. It's absolutely my happy place. If they do another popcorn run, I'll be sure to let y'all know first.
