Lubbock Laugh Off Goes for 28th Standing Room Only Show This Friday

I hope I haven't lost count, but this Friday, July 19th should be our 28th standing room only show.

Forgive me, but who's counting (other than me)? The fact is, if you get there early, you'll have no problem grabbing a table and priming the pump with some beer (and we're fans of the food, too), but that's not what we're here to talk about. We're here to talk COMEDY!

Lubbock has a wonderful, cohesive comedy scene. We've got guys and gals knocking out open mic shows right and left. We invite six of the best to compete in the big room for a huge stack of play money and a chance to headline the next event.

This week we have quite the treat, as our headliner will be Ranney! Competing will be Caleb Davis, Soccorro Carrasco, JJ Howell, Miguel Lozano, Floyd Casel and Chris Rodriguez.

We have six rounds of competition. One round is three minutes of straight stand-up, then it's four rounds of improv questions. During the final round, the comedians roast each other.

The actual comedy starts at 9 p.m. and is over by 10 p.m. There is no cover. Arrive early for table seating. See you Friday at The World of Beer!
