Grand Opening Details and Schedule

The Grand Opening is Saturday, August 1th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Grand Opening will feature giveaways, freebies, live music, and food trucks!

Cassandra Trautman of Cassapora Leather, holds a BA from Angelo State University & a MFA from Texas Tech University in Theatre Design and Technology. She has a focus for creative reuse and thoughtful upcycling, and is you're go-to for all things leather and costume as one of our sewing and crafts instructors.

Her business, Cassapora, turns 11 this year! As a one-woman micro business, she specializes in creating unique, quality, handmade leather and wood goods at honest prices with low environmental impact. Check out her portfolio website here: https://cassandratrautman.squarespace.com.

Vanessa Rautis uses all-natural plant powders and essential oils to create functional art that is as beautiful to look at as it is beneficial to use. She also works in ceramics and recycled paper. She started her micro business “Sacred Earth Therapies” in 2014 out of her kitchen and has been the sole proprietor ever since, making it full time four years ago and continues to grow as an artist and small business woman.

Lauren Ray Rusten grew up in a family of artists, teachers and entrepreneurs in the small town of Borger, Texas. She holds a BA in Fashion Design with a minor in Studio Art from Baylor University and specializes in fabric surface design, clothing re design, and personal styling. Recently, she has dived back into 2d art including water color and acrylics, focusing abstracts and florals. She's excited to meet and connect with all of Lubbock's creative inclined audiences!
Elise Serene Rautis is a recent Lubbock High graduate. She paints skateboard decks, bleach designed hoodies and tee shirts, and does murals under the name Serene Spaces -she created the mural on the front of Made in Lubbock!
