A little less than a month ago, former Texas Tech quarterback McLane Carter announced that he would be transferring from the school.

I'm sure that doesn't come as a surprise to anyone, with surprise star Alan Bowman looking to be the starter going into the summer.

Sunday night, Carter announced on Twitter that he would be committing to Rutgers University.

During his time at Texas Tech, injuries plagued Carter and prevented him from having a full season at quarterback for the Red Raiders. He suffered an ankle injury in the school's first game against Ole Miss in 2018. Two months later, Carter saw action against Baylor only to re-aggravate the injury.

In his two years for the Red Raiders, McLane Carter finished with a 52.6 percent completion percentage, 677 passing yards, 4 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.

Carter joins a Rutgers program that struggled mightily last season, finishing with a 1-11 record.
