North Texas Woman Busted Sneaking Over One Million Dollars Worth of Narcotics into Texas

Border patrol found the packages in all four of her tires.

Monica Christine Canales Rodriguez plead guilty yesterday for conspiring to import a large quantity of heroin and meth into the United States near Laredo, Texas. Back on September 28th, Monica was trying to come back into Texas. The border patrol found an anomaly in her tires.

24 packages of narcotics were found in the tires. Meth and heroin were in the packages that weighed over 60 kilograms combined. The total estimated street value is in excess of $1.3 million. Monica told authorities she was going to give them to someone in Dallas in exchange for $15,000. She faces a minimum of 10 years and up to life in prison as well as a possible $10 million fine.

No word on when her official sentence will be given out.
