A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for most of the South Plains including Lubbock County.

All effected counties are as follows: Parmer, Castro, Swisher, Briscoe, hall, Childress, Bailey, Lamb, Hale, Floyd, Motley, Cochran, Hockley, Lubbock and Crosby

The advisory will be in effect from 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30th.

The National Weather Service says that light rain is expected to develop during the overnight hours and will transition into a mix of rain and freezing rain. Temperatures may fall to at or below freezing throughout the night.

Drivers should anticipate slippery road conditions that are likely to effect the Wednesday morning commute.
