The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has increased the reward for information that leads to an arrest for the murder of Jackie Foster.

Jackie Foster was 29 on September 6th, 1990, when she was reported missing in Abeline, Texas. Two days after she was reported missing, her body was found in a drainage canal by fishermen.

Jackie (pictured above) was last seen at a truck stop in Cisco, Texas, attempting to get a ride to a family member's house in Los Angeles, California. On September 8th, 1990, the fishermen made the gruesome discovery.

Her body was wrapped in heavy canvas tarpaulin*, clothed in a shirt, pink sweatpants, and no shoes.

* A tarpaulin is a heavy-duty waterproof tarp.

Someone knows something about the murder of Jackie Foster, and now, Texas DPS is offering an increased incentive to come forward: $6,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case.

To be eligible for cash rewards for this case, tipsters MUST provide information to authorities using one of the following two methods:

  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
  • Submit a tip online through this link only and select “Cold Cases Featured” and “Cold Case” in the type of crime and offense type sections.

The increased reward is part of a bi-monthly initiative by the Texas DPS to generate new investigative leads in cold cases. It should be noted that the "higher reward amount will only be paid if the tip is submitted before the next cold case is featured."
