There's not a better way to spend time with the family and get in the Christmas spirit than a trip out to Mackenzie Park for Santa Land.

Santa and Mrs. Claus, the smell of the fire pits, and piping hot chocolate are the perfect way for some of us to release our inner Ebenezer Scrooge.

Personally, this will be the 22nd straight year to get out and take in the incredible 60-foot lighted Christmas tree, live entertainment on the Lubbock Parks and Recreation stage and Santa's Village that's home to the animated favorites from Rudolph to the Seven Dwarfs.

Start your own family tradition when Santa Land opens this Wednesday through December 23 from 6-9 p.m. at Mackenzie Park.
