Sipping and Dipping: Lubbock’s ThirsTeas Now Offers Johnny G’s Salsa
Everyone at the office is addicted to ThirsTeas now after they brought in a variety of teas for us to sample the other day. Holy moly, that stuff is the bee's knees. Nectar of the Gods. I'm pretty sure the unsweet coconut is my favorite. I've already decided that's what I'm taking to Thanksgiving with the fam this year.
When ThirsTeas visited the radio station, they also mentioned that they were going to start carrying Johnny G's salsa in-store, which is pretty exciting.
Johnny G's used to be available at the Lubbock Downtown Farmer's Market, but sadly, owner John Gallegos moved away from the 806 and took his tasty salsa with him. Total bummer!
Luckily, it will be available on the shelves at ThirsTeas beginning this Saturday, November 23rd, just in time for the holidays. You'll find Verde, Rojo Mild, Rojo Medium, Avocado, and Tatemada.
It's really important to shop local anytime you can, but even more so during the holiday season. When you buy from locally owned businesses, you're supporting the people who make Lubbock a great place to live. As we go into the holiday season in the Hub City, don't forget your awesome friends, family, and neighbors who own small businesses.
Do you know of a locally owned business that could use a little spotlight this holiday season? Tell me about them! Feel free to drop me a comment on this article or email me at Chrissy.Covington@townsquaremedia.com for a chance to have them featured in an article.
