I have been noticing  people posting a lot of negative comments about living in Lubbock about how we always get the same old shows and there isn't anything to do, blah blah blah. As February comes to an end, I am reminded that we still have 10 months left in the year and a whole bunch of concerts finally coming to Lubbock.

AWOLNation has decided to give away a new EP titled "I've Been Dreaming" as a free download at their website. Or maybe I grabbed it and I have them all right here for you! Yeah, I did that.

You read that right. AWOLNation is offering a free download of their 6 song holiday EP. It features the previously unreleased track "Silent Nation," a song called "MF" which only appeared on the band's 2010 Back From Earth EP, a live version of "Sail" and more...

2011 was a big year for new music for rock. Killer bands made the big jump and are now becoming house hold names on the rock front. An old school football game called "NFL Blitz" is coming back after almost ten years. I can see why it's been ten years. Unless the game is a billion times better than this trailer, maybe it should be another ten. AWOLNATION even does the song in the trailer and it's not that good either.

"Sail" was simply the most talked about song on our request lines this Summer. Everybody wanted to know that name of the song and the artist. Now there's a version made just for a TV promo.

It's cool to see a band break through after the free use of a Red Bull studio, courtesy of Red Bull Records, after just two years.

I don't care what band, song or album comes out this year, NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING will come close to being a bigger hit that this song.  This is indeed "eargasmic".  Feast your eyes and ears on "Sail" by AWOLNATION.
