This is the 4th set of photos from the 2014 KFMX Big Purple Party on May 25, at the Lone Star Amphitheater and Pavilion. This set covers the Skidrow performance along with photos from before and after their show. Skidrow is a favorite band from my past, and if the crowd was any indication, they are still a crowd favorite today as the fans proved by singing along with every song.

We still have a lot of video of the bands and crowds to drop on you. For some of us we also enjoy the familiar faces we see at each show.  I would buy a ticket to a show just to get to pay for Big E's Barbeque and a hug from Becky is priceless.

I was a tad skeptical when Tesla was booked at last years Big Purple Party.  They went over so well that a decision was made to try to include an 80's band in every lineup. Taking that slot this year was Skid Row.

I have snippets from a lot of the bands at The FMX Big Purple Party. They're just small bits of some of the performance recorded with my trusty Flip camera.  I has no zoom, but it does the job most of the time.

Filter was joined by special guest Chino Moreno towards the end of their set, and at one point Richard Patrick, Filter's lead singer, fell over the barrier and disappeared under the crowd all without missing a beat! When you think about it, the idea behind the FMX Big Purple Party is kind of nutty.  We're just kind of celebrating our world famous "Purple Spot" logo.  The fact that people get behind the idea is just plain awesome.

The FMX Big Purple Party is our premiere "festival type" event. We work with promoters to bring you the best mix of bands for a huge day out. We really strive to make it something for everybody.  We have tons of video and pix to share with you so let's get started!

Leading off the party on the inside stage this Sunday, straight out of the streets of Baltimore, Maryland is the Charm City Devils. These dudes will rip through a short and sweet set, so get out early and check them out after Filter on the big stage.
