I am always a sucker for a good book, especially when I can get them on the cheap. The Friends of the Library are hooking it up for the holiday season.

Today's reading experience is nothing like the literal "page-turners" of yesteryear. But even with the e-Book, the Kindle and the iPad at our fingertips, we can still spot a wacky romance novel cover from a mile off.

I don't believe in anything.  Nothing supernatural, nothing.  It does creep me out that 'celebrity' deaths seem to come in threes.  This week we lost a Beastie Boy, Goober from The Andy Griffith Show and now the Maurice Sendak, the author of "Where the Wild Things Are".  More after the jump.

Slipknot percussionist M. Shawn Crahan (also known as Clown or #6) is gearing up to release an artistic photography book titled ‘The Apocalytic Nightmare Journey’ which is due out June 19 via MTV Books.

I am a heretic! I own an "e-reader" (and I quite enjoy it). I am, however, a fan of books. I'm so big a fan of books that I'm tired of storing them, which is why I bought a Kindle. I will admit that there is a bit of magic in books. In this video some book store owners look to express that "magic" with this cool stop motion video. Check it out after the jump.

The brilliance of ‘Stuck Up! 100 Objects Inserted and Ingested in Places They Shouldn’t Be’ is that the book delivers exactly what the title says it will: the stupid stuff people inserted into areas of their bodies where very little else belongs. Also, it’s provides the pictures as proof, whether we want to see them or not.

Any readers out there?  After many, many moons, you can get all five volumes of Dean Koontz "Frankenstein".  I started the series in 2007 and managed to stretch my loyalty out for five years.  I was not disappointed.  More after the jump.

I'm pretty excited about this book. Much like "World War Z" and the "Zombie Survival Guide" the "Zombie Autopsies" treats Zombies with a bit more of a scientific tact. Read more after the jump.
