With lines forming before 10 am, the day was beginning to give us a hint of just what the day would bring. It's just a guess, but the crowd must have reached 6,000. It's probably the largest crowd that I have ever seen at the Lonestar Amphitheater. This was the smoothest run, most fun, day long concert that I have ever attended. There was plenty of food, drink, and an overload of rock and roll, from 12:30 pm to 1 am.. Picts after the jump.

Continuing your daily dose of Big Purple Party Pix, we've got Oleander & Taproot. Both bands delivered solid performances and brought it hard. We've managed to interview both bands and are stoked that they made the party and hope they keep coming back to Lubbock over and over. More after the jump.

We published a couple of these shots before, but this particular gallery is a wild, wild ride. Is it any wonder why Nonpoint gets a gallery all of their own? With no disrespect to any other bands, Nonpoint immediately kicked the Big Purple Party into another level. In addition to being a completely rockin' band, they're totally cool. Blas Elias immediately came back and did radio, still dripping from the stage. More after the jump.
