One of Lubbock's favorite local comedians, Socorro Carrasco, is alive and well after being rescued by the Lubbock Fire Department.

The Lubbock Fire Department was NOT represented at last week's cruise in support of Donald Trump.

A fire broke out at a residence where, just one day earlier, 26-year-old Kyera Jones was fatally stabbed.

The fire was difficult to contain due to a lack of fire hydrants in the area. A temperature of 106 degrees made it even more difficult for firefighters to work.
