The boys are out of Canada and don't put on any airs. They're just here to rock.

Before they took the stage at X-Fest 2016, we spoke to the boys in Black Stone Cherry about the death of Prince, cover songs and their new album, "Kentucky."

It doesn't get much more rock and roll than this. One dedicated Volbeat fan from Oklahoma loves the band so much that they got a vanity plate featuring their name.

We caught up with Poulsen backstage before the band rocked X-Fest in Lubbock and tackled a wide range of topics, including the deaths of Prince and Lemmy.

What started as an extremely windy day in Lubbock ended with a blazing hot set from Danish rockers Volbeat.

The boys from the Bluegrass State rolled up in Lubbock and sliced and diced the Lonestar Amphitheater in a way that would have made fellow Kentuckian Jim Bowie proud.

Move over Gravedigger, there's another big machine that can do some serious damage of their own. And their name is Monster Truck.

Most tickets to rock shows say "all ages" on them. X-Fest 11 really did feature all ages, with old rockers enjoying the show along with kids attending their first show ever.

X-Fest happens tonight, Tuesday, April 26, at the Lonestar Amphitheater with Volbeat, Black Stone Cherry and Monster Truck.
