The Texas Tech Basketball schedule was ravaged this offseason, along with every other college program. The conference games will still be played, but the entire non-conference slate was deleted when the start date of college basketball was pushed back two weeks. There's also that pesky coronavirus you might have heard about.

Not only that, the NCAA has also capped the total number of games played at 27. The Red Raiders will play 18 conference games which means Beard has been trying to schedule his 9 nonconference games for the last month.

In the last two weeks news has been trickling out about the Red Raiders upcoming games. First, the Red Raiders will travel to Orlando to play in the NBA bubble at the preseason NIT Tip-Off at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The games will be played on November 27th and 28th and will feature Texas Tech, Houston, Auburn and Gonzaga.

Texas Tech will play two of the three.

The next two confirmed games on the basketball schedule are conference opponents. The Big 12 has decided to play two conference games in December this year to allow some extra time during conference play in the event that something has to be postponed or a team needs to quarantine.

The Red Raiders will host Kansas on December 17th to open their Big 12 season and then travel to Oklahoma to play the Sooners on December 22nd.

Finally, the Red Raiders have announced that they will be playing LSU this season on January 30th as part of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge in Baton Rouge at the Maravich Center.

The rest of the Texas Tech basketball schedule is expected to be announced soon.
