I tend to write about the same things a bit because they're my interests.  Sounds simple, doesn't it?  Well I'm not going to all of a sudden write about logging or China or bees because I'm don't know much about them.  Now, when I get a feeling that something is very wrong or very right, then it's time to pick up the laptop.

With all that said, if you're against legal marijuana or if you're against marriage for gay couples, it's time to give it up. You've lost the battle. Find some new causes.

You wouldn't know it from living in a conservative area, but marriage for gay people is already allowed in 17 states and the District Of Columbia.  Add to that eight or more Native American Tribal jurisdictions.  Other states have come close to complete acceptance and others are on the way as well.  It's over, it's done, it doesn't affect you so go find something else to bitch about.

Pot is legal in Washington and Colorado. In addition medical marijuana is available in 18 states and District Of Columbia. Even our own Governor Rick Perry, whom I despise, has come out in favor of decriminalization.  Once again, the road to legalization is wide open now and every state is going to want some of that weed tax money. It's just a matter of time, even in Texas before it happens.

It may have been beaten into your head that gay people are wrong, but their choice of who to love means no more to you than their choice of what they had for breakfast. It's not your business, stay out of it and shut the hell up.  It may also have been beaten into your head that marijuana is an "evil weed" . If you don't like it, go have a hypocritical beer and stay away from it.

I'm actually kind of interested to see what the next big "hot topics" are.  In the meantime, it's time for the losers in these two battles to admit defeat and move on.
