The excitement surrounding the NBA Finals is palpable, especially with a showdown between the Knicks and the Spurs. What’s intriguing about the Knicks name is its origin. The term "Knicks" is derived from "Nickerbacher," which refers to the shorts the Dutch settlers wore upon arriving in New York. The concept of a team named after shorts is quite peculiar, yet it adds character to the game amidst the intense competition of the finals.

As the week unfolds, meteorologists are alerting residents to anticipate potential thunderstorms and a more severe hurricane season. Experts underline the importance of preparedness as the previous year saw no hurricanes making landfall, which may lead many to underestimate the risks associated with severe weather. With diminished resources available for emergency assistance, including FEMA, communities should gear up for possible power outages and hazardous conditions.

In a comical twist, the notion of squirtable sour cream is humorously attributed to the radio host, who joked about its creation for years before it hit store shelves. The peculiar packaging, however, leaves much to be desired, as its delivery is more akin to a messy gloop than a controlled squeeze. This brings up a secondary request for a squeezable guacamole that could add efficiency and ease to enjoying this popular dip.

On a lighter note, curious incidents of absurd crime are making headlines. One bizarre case involved a Florida man, Clayton Warren, who allegedly used a chainsaw to break into a store and swipe around $12,000 worth of Pokémon cards. His initial attempt to shatter a hurricane-proof window with a rock proved futile, leading him to escalate to chainsaw tactics—leaving blood evidence and a clear trail for authorities to follow.

In another noteworthy event, a chiropractor's sign boasting he was a "licensed crack dealer" elicited an over-the-top reaction from a local man who felt driven to destroy it. While he claimed to act as a concerned citizen, it seems more likely that he might have been overwhelmed by the chiropractor's pun-filled humor. This incident highlights not only the curious nature of human reactions but also the oddities of small-town life.

Listeners chimed in with stories of their pets' strange behaviors, showcasing the delightful oddities of domestic animals. From dogs sneaking treats to cats plotting mischief, each story brings a sense of connection and humor to everyday life.

As the community grapples with both the trivial and the serious, it's evident that moments of laughter amidst chaos contribute significantly to shared experiences. From sports to weather to the quirks of pets and people, life paints a colorful picture that both entertains and informs.

94.5 FMX. Up there on the horizon lies a vast and empty place. It's the rock show's field of [music] f and it is barren. Well, Chrissy, I'm sure you spent the weekend watching the NBA finals and stuff, all that good stuff. I had it going on the whole weekend. Semi-finals or whatever it was. Uh, it is the actual finals is going to be the Knicks and the Spurs. Okay. I'm going to tell you about the Knicks. All right. Because the Knicks is a weird name. What do you think a Nick is? Uh, I have no idea. Well, it's short for Nickerbacher. Okay, that could be a lie. I have no idea. I really don't know. Are the Knicks a real team? They actually are. Okay, but I looked up the name because myself, I was wondering, you know, I knew it was the New York Knicker boxers. I knew it was an old name that had been around forever, but I never really knew what a Nickerbacher was. Okay. And this is actually, I think, kind of fascinating, especially since a lot of people will be watching the ball game. Well, with the Spurs in it and everything. Yeah. Nickerbachers was the name of the shorts that the Dutch settlers who arrived in New York wore. Oh, okay. Seriously. All right. The team is named after a pair of shorts. [laughter] That's kind of weird. Everybody can look this up. I realize that I've pulled Chrissy's legs on a lot of things like this before. Uhhuh. But basically, we have the shorts versus the Spurs. Interesting. In the NBA Finals. All right. Okay. So, we're looking at a chance of rain throughout the week. Yeah. And hot temperatures. And that generally can mean some uh you know, big thunderstorms and stuff like that. Mhm. Well, keep this in mind. Also, scientists say watch out. We could have a a crazy hurricane season and we should watch for power outages and deadly conditions. Oh, great. Awesome. That sounds great. The power outage part. I I hope that our power uh system can handle it, man. You know, the deadly conditions doesn't bother you at all. I mean, the deadly conditions come with the power outages, you know. I don't know. I'm worried about that. Here's the problem. Last year, there were no hurricanes that made landfall. So, people are like, "Eh, you know, whatever because they don't remember how bad it could get." Yeah. And now, whether you believe it's for good or for bad, there's not much left of FEMA. So, there's not going to be much organization to get you help. Oh, that's not good. So, there might be some people there that are having a pretty rough time for this hurricane season. Kind of watch out for that. Fingers crossed it's not that bad. And um I wanted to take credit for something that I did. And if you did not know, I am responsible for squirtable sour cream. You're responsible for squirtable sour cream. Oh yeah. Okay. Yeah. It was something I complained about on the radio for a decade and then they finally came out with squirtable sour cream. So it's all thanks to you. Yes, it is. Okay. I've actually got some in my fridge right now. I wish they had a smaller hole on that, you know, cuz it comes out like rounder than a It comes out in a big old gloop. Yeah, it's bigger than a toothpaste, you know, thing like that. I would like it to be a little uh more gentle. Okay, just a little bit. All right, now here's my second request. I know some of you like your guacamole. Oh, yeah. You like it with it big chunks in it. Yeah. But would it would be nice if there was a nice smooth guacamole in a squeeze thing as well. Squeezable guac. I need some squeezable guacamole. I don't think that's uh too big of an ask. So, I'm going to start complaining about it again until it happens and then you guys can thank me all over again. And so the voices echo across the desolate and unfertile plain unheard but unto themselves. This has been the Rock Show's Field of F. This is the Rock Show. But only one will leave with the title of the dumbass of the day. A Florida man is facing charges after police say he used a chainsaw to break into a store and steal about $12,000 worth of Pokemon cards. That is a lot of cards. We've had a lot of Pokémon card theft on here. Actually, I know people think the Pokemon cards are pretty much money, right? Authorities say 33-year-old Clayton Warren first tried smashing the hurricane proof window with a rock before cutting a triangle into the glass with a chainsaw and then he climbed inside. [laughter] Wow, that sounds so dangerous. Yeah, and a little loud. Yeah. Investigators say he also managed to cut himself during the break-in, leaving behind blood evidence at the scene. Surveillance cameras reportedly captured not only the burglary, but also Warren's car and license plate, making the case pretty easy for detectives. Okay. Yeah. All right. Now, I've got a situation here, uh, where there's a couple of things going on. Okay. First off, you've got a chiropractor who's always making bad jokes on his billboard. Oh. And one of them said he was a licensed crack dealer because a chiropractor they they crack your joints and everything. Okay, that's kind of cute. Well, some guy tried to destroy his sign and he said it was because he he was a concerned citizen. Uhhuh. And he didn't want this guy selling crack. Oh my goodness. That or he was tired of all the puns. Probably that. Probably that. Who will be proven to have a brain powered entirely by dialup internet? [laughter] All right. At 31st in year, you got a male walking with his pants [music] down. Okay. It just makes me think of having to do that toilet paper shuffle. You know what I mean? They had to do it all the way to the store. Barely. Yeah. Exactly. Over at the 1,400 block of North Highway 84, caller states that a homeless person used the bathroom on their trailer. Oh, on their trailer. Yeah. Now, this would be Sllayton, also known as the shallow water of the southeast. Okay, then that explains everything. So, hold on, there's more. Oh, goodness. Wes, over at BJ's, there was a male yelling, pushing things over and causing a disturbance. Oh, no. Now, myself, when I get BJs, I mostly am relaxed and taking a nap. Oh my god. Uh, you know, that doesn't surprise me. I am [music] not surprised a bit. But I do think you're going to pass this test. Okay. I've got uh three of America's most misspelled words. Oh, no. I think you'll be able to spell these. Okay. I actually think that you will. I don't know. Let's start [music] with through, as in going through a tunnel. Going through a tunnel. I got that one. All right. What do you got? There you go. T H R O U G H through. How about that one correct? You got that one right there. [music] Number two. Favorite. I got that one, too. Favorite. Let me see. Favorites. Favorites. Favorite. F A V O R I T E. Good job, Christy. Yay. And the number one most misspelled word, and I trust me, it's because of the people who usually use it and say it, okay, is bougie. Spell bougie. How would you spell bougie? Like this. B O U. Oh, you put a J instead of a G. I always do a J. You can't spell with a J. It's B O U G I E for bougie. Oh, okay. Well, I don't ever say bougie anyway. How disappointing. How bougie. [music] I guess we're going to have to call that a bad thing. Yeah, whatever. Bad thing. I don't feel bad about spelling that one wrong. Moving on. All right. Uh you're still a bit of uh fan of the Simpsons. Yes, I love The Simpsons. I actually watched this weekend. Uh they're going to do three new episodes of The Simpsons, but they're going to be exclusive to Disney Plus. Oh, that kind of sucks. I don't like that at all. I don't either, dude. Every Dude, I have had a Disney Plus uh membership multiple times and I I keep getting it and then going, I don't need that. But it's The Simpsons that I want, so I know. I now I'm going to have to get it again just to watch those cuz I have to. So, this is a bad thing. I'm like, you know what? I'm kind of a completist. [music] You know what I mean? I'm got to have everything in a box set or or something like that. And knowing that part of this thing is in one place and part of this Yeah. I don't like it at all. I hate it. Bad thing. All right, Chrissy, you're looking to make a dollar or two. Oh, yeah. Always. Have you thought about selling feet juice? Feet juice? Beet juice. Nope. But tell me about it cuz I'm thinking about it now. Go ahead. What do I got to do? This is actually happening at some of those anime cons and stuff. Oh no. You You got one of those uh one of those people that's popular. I don't know if you call them an influencer or an anime person. Yeah. Whatever they are. Yeah. And they will soak their feet in fruit juice, bottle it. Oh no. And the kids buy it to drink. Oh, that's disgusting. In fact, I saw one of the pictures of somebody drinking it from the tap. The toe tap. That is so great. Just dripping fruit juice from their feet. Okay. Now, how much money are we talking though? I think it's good money. I think it's very good money. But can you believe it's happening? It is gross. I know that there's ladies out there that sell their bath water and stuff though. You know, it's nasty. I don't think I'm going to be uh selling any feet juice, though. Beet juice? I don't think so. What if it's grape? [music] Does the flavor of the juice matter? I do like grape. What about a nice cran raspberry? M. That doesn't sound so bad, but uh I think I'm going to keep my shoes on. Okay. Yeah. No thanks. Bad thing. Now you know the score. [music] This is good thing bad thing on a rock show. This is the rock show. On the way in the smoking pole. What's your pet's most suspicious behavior? He accused me of trying to poison pretty much everybody, I guess. Um, [laughter] so he was late. My kids had already eaten before he got there, and I might have eaten a little bit. I don't remember. It was before I got my gallbladder taken out and I was not doing too well. Okay. [laughter] All right. So, yeah. So, I didn't eat in front of him and I was in the living room talking with the mother of his children and I heard him. He had my mom cornered in the kitchen and he was like, "I didn't see her eat any of it. I didn't see your kids eat any of it." And he's like, and I'm I look at her. I'm like, "Well, is he really doing what I think he's doing?" And he's like, "Can [laughter] you just go in there and try it?" Um, so he thought you were poisoning him. [laughter] Yeah, I guess. I went in there and I'm like, "Are you serious right now?" [laughter] And he's like, "Destry the turkey." And I'm like, "Okay." So I took a bite and I'm like, and he's I'm looking at him like, "Okay." A and he's like the dark meat too. [laughter] Oh my god. Oh my god. Mary Jane, that is so much drama. I hope all your relationships are healed by now. We just wanted to take an opportunity to say thank you for answering all our questions and we're naming you a super rock and rock star. Yeah. So, now it's Easter. I got to find find the little magic surprise. [laughter] Stephanie, what's your pet's most suspicious behavior? He's just so cute. He will get up on his hind legs and just just beg and just be sweet. And I can be totally mad at him because he's whining or whatever, but yep. There you go. She'll slowly catch and then she'll wait and wait and then she'll check she'll check around to see if anybody's around. Oh no, she she really wants to get to the rat. Let's just settle this. The Rock Show is brought to you in part by THOS Motors. Get preapproved atmotors.com. This is a dumbass update on the Rock Show. A 33-year-old man named Clayton Warren from Florida is facing charges after breaking into a store and stealing $12,000 worth of Pokemon cards. Wow. Yeah, that's got to be like a lot of cards. Or maybe just like two special ones. Yeah, I don't know. Something like that. Anyway, first he tried to smash through some hurricane proof uh glass with a rock. That didn't work very good. So, he went for his trusty chainsaw and cut a triangle into the glass and then climbed inside. I didn't know you could cut glass with a chainsaw. Well, I guess good to know. If you try hard enough, you can do it. Uh, but he did manage to cut himself during that, so it might not be a great idea. He left all kinds of blood all over the place. Uh, which is not great when you're committing crimes. Not good at all. Also, surveillance cameras uh caught not only the burglary, but also his car and his license plate. So, detectives had really no problem finding him. Okay. All right. Now, this one I I got to untangle a little bit. Okay. Um because I don't think we have the real story here. You know, one of those businesses, a chiropractor who's always putting wise guy stuff on his sign. Yeah. He he had stuff like, "We never crack under pressure. It's easier to throw out your back than your mother-in-law. I like it." Yeah. Uh our Easter adjustments are excellent. Oh, [laughter] well, he put up something that said licensed crack dealer. Yeah. And that drove some guy crazy. [laughter] And you look at this guy, he doesn't even look that crazy. I think he just got tired of the messages. You think he was just sick of all the puns? He said or told the police that the reason he destroyed that sign was because he thought that guy, the chiropractor, was breaking the law and selling crack and advertising it on his sign. Yeah. So, he tore the whole thing up and instead uh he got himself $1,000 in in damages and ended up in jail on a felony criminal mischief charge. Ridiculous. Who will be exposed as running on fumes and bad decisions? Find out your winner for the dumbass of the day today at 8:35 on the Rock Show. Love it morning show. Uh Emily said, "Hiding underneath the couch as soon as I come in the front door." She said that always means that they're up to something. There was some hy jinks happening. I love this answer from Julie. She said, "My Chihuahua Jordan, her Chihuahua's name is Jordan." Okay. She said likes to think he's sneaky and tries to get into the bathroom trash if we forget to close the door and he shreds stuff all over the house. Okay. Naughty Jordan. Jordan. Jordan the Chihuahua. [laughter] Uh Kimmy Raone said her pet's most suspicious behavior is when she says, "Want some?" And they don't come quickly. That must mean that they are too involved in their foolishness to hear that there's food. Yes. Yes. They're up to Exactly. Uh Drew Mo said, "My German Shepherd creeps onto my bed very slowly so she doesn't wake me up." He said, "I pretended to be asleep once and caught her doing it." Okay, cute. Uh Brandy Tadlock said their dog Dora steals all of their stuff and hides it in her kennel. She said, "Shoes, clothes, headsets." She said, "Then she guards it like a dragon." Wow. Yeah, that's cute. Uh Clay said, "When I walk down the hall and my dog comes running out of the bathroom with her head down and her tail tucked, uh she she said that she knows she's in there snacking on the litter box." [laughter] Oh, we call those kitty crunchies, Lisa. Oh, yeah. Kitty cookies. Gross. Yeah. Uh Sarah Blakeley said they used to have a bird that would yell, "Fuck off." [laughter] And it would it would also call the dog's names in her dad's voice just to confuse everybody. That is suspicious. And Bujornne said the most suspicious behavior of his dog is that he waits till he's asleep and then he puts on a beret and sunglasses and lights a cheap fridge cigarette and studies maths. Okay. He thinks that he might be plotting world domination. All right. Thank you, Bjorn. We appreciate your uh going to your creative writing class. [laughter] Thank you. Thank you for that. A town square media station, KFMX FM Loveik. Broadcasting from a massive three stories above the flatlands [music] so heaven can hear us better and with a maximum power allowed by law to reach you puny [music] humans. This is the rock show on FMX. 94.5 FMX. It's Chrissy and Wes from the Rock Show. Today on the Smok and Pull, what's your pet's most suspicious behavior? All right, let's start with Kendra. She said her cat starts smacking her lips and that's how she knows she's about to throw up. The cat smacks his lips. Do your cats do that? No, they just No, they just throw up. They just puke. Yeah. Yeah, they don't give you any warning at all. Yeah, they're total jerks. Okay. Um, Janessa said her cat got mad about a baby gate and walked into her bedroom and peed on the carpet while making eye contact. Oh no, that's vicious, dude. Uh, Lisa said her dog hides under the bed whenever she uh gets caught trying to eat bugs. You know, I thought that that's what dogs were good for. Eat the bugs. Yeah, I kind of count on my outdoor cat to do a little bit of that. I take care of the bugs. Yeah. Uh, Curtis says anytime he sees his cat, he knows she's up to something. Yeah. Okay. Uh, Brandon said that their cat opens drawers. He said if you catch her, she immediately pretends she wasn't doing anything. [laughter] Uh, Courtney Hadley said their dog Bella hates delivery people and the USPS might as well be the devil. Okay, then. [laughter] Uh, Andy said their tuxedo cat likes to sneak attack her little sister. Mhm. Uh, James said every morning before going outside, his dog checks the office to see if there's any trash she can raid while he's at work. [laughter] Sneaky. Yeah. Whitney said her cat's most suspicious behavior is that she scratches the carpet and walls like she's trying to tunnel out. Yes. Yeah. You know, my dog was doing that last night, scratching on a little rug we had in front of the chair, and it was making that that sound. And my wife accused me of letting one rip. Yeah. Oh, you probably were. I was like, "No, the dog is ripping carpet. I'm not ripping." Yeah. Oh, come on now, though. How many times have you blamed the dog? It's never happened. Okay. Yeah. Zero times. Yeah. I don't believe that. Uh Craig Lemur, back to this. He said his pet's most suspicious behavior is that recently he told her to stay out of the mud and she took that as a personal challenge. Okay. Did not stay out of the mud. Went into the mud. Mhm. Uh Stephanie said her donkey secretly relocates bricks around the property, but she's never actually caught him doing it. Wait a second. He picks up bricks and moves them. Wait a second. A donkey. Yeah. Who has a donkey? Stephanie. Stephanie. Stephanie has a donkey. Stephanie Stewart has a donkey. Okay, I need to ask. Now we know donkeys move bricks. We Yeah, I had no idea. Dolly said, "Well, the mason ones do." Some of them just work on minor plumbing problems. Right. Right. Okay. Sorry, [laughter] Dolly. Back to this. Says, "Sorry, I'm imagining a donkey in kind of an old school plumber's uniform carrying a little toolbox." Thank you. Thank you. Uh, Dolly said the second her back door opens, her dogs sprint to the neighbor's fence to cause problems [laughter] just instantly. Okay. Uh, Catherine said when the cats come galloping through the house all fully fluffed out, she knows that something expensive was just knocked over. Uh-huh. Love that. Right. Once again, guys, we're talking about the most suspicious behaviors our pets have. Right. Uh, Preston said his dog licks his balls for 30 minutes straight. Okay, that makes two of us. Oh, gross. Oh my gosh. Well, the dog asked me to. [laughter] Ashley said that her cat sits facing the corner at 3:00 a.m. like she's receiving some kind of weird instructions. Okay. [laughter] Creepy. And Kevin said every time he loses his sock, his Labrador suddenly looks very nervous. [laughter] I love these. This is the rock show on the way. Strange headlines and weirder endings. It's time for one unfortunate soul to pull the finger of destiny [music] and be crowned the dumbass of the day on the rock show. A 33-year-old man named Clayton Warren in Florida is facing charges after cops say he used a chainsaw to break into a store and steal about $12,000 worth of Pokémon cards. Oh no. First, he tried to uh smash through the hurricane proof window with a rock. And that did not work very well. So, he pulled out a chainsaw and cut a triangle into the glass and then climbed inside. Okay. Uh, he also cut himself during the breakin and left a whole bunch of blood all over the place. Oh, if it's at the point where it's dripping, that's not good. It probably wasn't good at all. Probably needed a little help afterwards. Surveillance cameras also captured not only the burglary, but his car and his license plate. Of course, he's got blood all over the place, so it's very, very, very simple to find old Clayton. Okay, I got one of those places there that puts the smart alec remarks on their sign. Yeah, the chiropractor place. We got a guy around here that does those. Yeah, you know, hey, we're not all that we're cracked up to be things [laughter] like that. He's making the the chiropractor cracking jokes. Well, his last one said licensed crack dealer. That's funny. So, 23-year-old Benjamin Fragel, uh, he didn't realize it was a chiropractic joke, or at least that's what he told authorities, so he smashed the sign with bricks in a tree branch. And when the cops showed up, he said, "I was just being a concerned citizen." Mhm. Trying to stop some criminal activity. Yeah. We think, cuz we looked at him, and he doesn't look that crazy. Looks pretty normal. We think he just got tired of the puns [laughter] and tore the thing up. It just drove him nuts. So there you go. And the winner is Oh, it's the chainsaw maniac. Okay. Chainsaword. Yeah. Okay. Did I get it right? Pokemon fella now. Someone just earned a gold medal in the Olympic sport of bad ideas. It's the Rock Shows Field of F and it is [music] barren. Well, Chrissy, I'm sure you spent the weekend watching the NBA finals and stuff, all that good stuff. I had it going on the whole weekend, semi-finals or whatever it was. And that generally [music] can mean some uh you know, big thunderstorms and stuff like that. I mean, the deadly conditions come with the power outages. You know, I don't know. I'm worried about that. Here's the problem. Last year there were no hurricanes that made landfall. So people are like, "Ah, you know, whatever because they don't remember how bad it could get." Yeah. And now whether you believe it's for good or for bad, there's not much left of FEMA. So there's not going to be much organization to get you help. Oh, that's not good. So there might be some people there that are having a pretty rough time for this hurricane season. Got to watch out for that. I wish they had a smaller hole on that, you know, because it comes out like rounder than a It comes out in a big old gloop. Yeah, it's bigger than a toothpaste, you know, thing like that. I would like it to be a little uh more uh gentle. Okay, just a little bit. All right, now here's my second request. I know some of you like your guacamole. Oh, yeah. You like it with it big chunks in it. Yeah. But would it would be nice if there was a nice smooth guacamole in a squeeze thing as well. Squeezable guac. [music] I need some squeezable guacamole. I don't think that's uh too big of an ask. So, I'm going to start complaining about it again again until it happens and then you guys can thank me all over again. And so the voices echo across the desolate and unfertile plane, unheard but unto themselves. This has been the Rock Show's Field of Fox. Today's Rock Show and other historic moments of questionable radio brilliance are waiting for you on demand, including YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, [music] Google Podcasts, and anywhere else that bravely hosts audio chaos.
