Time may be running out on 30 Seconds to Mars — or maybe not.

A rumor has been circulating for months that the band intends to break up following its 2011 tour. And in recent interviews, guitarist Tomo Milicevic and singer Jared Leto have only added to the uncertainty of the group’s future instead of clearing things up.

MTV Canada reported in May that 30 Seconds to Mars was planning to throw in the towel post-tour, but Milicevic later told MTV, “We can neither confirm nor deny these allegations.”

Leto spoke with Kerrang! magazine about the two years it took to make 2009′s ‘This Is War,’ his band’s third album, and the grind that’s come with the two years of touring behind it.

“Do I have that in me again? I don’t know,” Leto said.

Meanwhile, 30 Seconds to Mars continues to carry on with its business. The band’s ‘MTV Unplugged’ digital EP, featuring a cover of U2′s ‘Where the Streets Have No Name,’ was released Tuesday.

On Friday, the trio will rock the main stage at the Reading and Leeds Festival in the United Kingdom, and Leto says he and his band mates plan to attend Sunday’s 2011 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. Their video for the song ‘Hurricane’ has been nominated in the Best Cinematography, Best Direction and Best Editing categories.
