Ian Moore has done a 360.  It's a known fact that he did NOT like being marketed by the record company as the "next Stevie Ray/guitar slinger from Austin Texas".  Even though he didn't like it, it didn't keep him from producing two smokin' blues/rock albums.  After that initial duo, Ian started doing his own thing playing everything from folk music to Beatle/Beach Boys type multilayered harmonies.  He made some new fans, lost some old ones, but continued to pack clubs with whatever style he's playing at the time.  Now we have big news for fans of the original music and the original lineup.  More after the jump.

Ian Moore has reformed his original band for a tour and we've got a show!  You can check Ian out Friday May 25th at Jake's.  With this lineup Ian is performing material ONLY from the first two albums.  Imagine hearing "Blue Sky", "Satisfied", "How Does It Feel", "Muddy Jesus", "Harlem", and more in one show.  Better yet, you won't have to imagine, I have some of the videos for you below.

Check out this badass version of "How Does It Feel" from 1994.

Check out Ian getting all soulful in 1996 with "Blue Sky" live

Remember the NBC show "Friday Night"?  I chose this version of the song "Harlem" because Ian's guitar is absolutely blistering!

and lastly, I was hoping this song would be included int he reunion tour, because it was actually on the
"Hempilation" c.d. and not on this first two c.d.s, but here's is a bootleg from the actual reunion show, that we'll be seeing here in town.  It is absolutely 100% ON FIRE!

Here's a little bit of Ian Moore trivia for you: It was our own Mike Driver who took the record guy to see Ian resulting in his signing.

So imagine Ian with 20 more years experience on the Strat and 20 pounds less hair and you're ready to rock!
