‘Doctor Strange’ Almost Had a Completely Different Villain
Marvel movie scripts go through a ton of editing and plot reworking before they’re finally handed over to their directors, and Doctor Strange was no different. It’s a more ambitious film from its predecessors in many ways, not the least of which is introducing audiences to a new superhero and an entirely new way of thinking about the Marvel multiverse. Unsurprisingly, the writers went through a few villain ideas before it landed on the one Marvel president Kevin Feige felt would be most appropriate for the movie, but apparently we were very close to getting a completely different big bad. (Warning — SPOILERS ahead for those of you who haven’t seen the movie yet, so proceed with caution.)
There’s More Joker in the Trailer for the ‘Suicide Squad’ Extended Cut Apparently Someone Asked For
Well, we were all clamoring for it. Or, somebody was. Regardless, there’s an extended cut Blu-ray of Suicide Squad coming out, with many more minutes featuring the antics of the Worst. Superheroes. Ever. Warner Bros. just released a trailer for the upcoming release, with a few shots we haven’t seen before in other trailers or the movie itself.
Looks Like Cyborg Will Definitely Be in ‘The Flash’ Movie
The DC cinematic universe at this point is its own Gordian Knot of rumors and threads of rumors that are rarely legit and usually peter out and go nowhere. In the photo, you can see the feet of two Funko Pop figures: the Flash, naturally, as well as those of Cyborg.
The Joker Won’t Terrorize His Co-Stars in ‘Justice League’
That whooosh you just heard is the entire cast of Justice League breathing a collective sigh of relief.
This Deleted Scene From ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Might Be Better Than the Whole Movie
X-Men: Apocalypse didn’t have a very great summer. The movie itself was not great, and its ad campaign, featuring huge billboards of Oscar Isaac’s Apocalypse choking Jennifer Lawrence, was roundly criticized for showing excessive violence against women.
There’s a Secret in ‘The Thing’ That’s Been Hiding Right Under Our Noses
John Carpenter’s The Thing is a grotesque, timeless horror film that’s been beloved by fans ever since its premiere in 1982. We’ve watched it and re-watched it over and over again, cozied up in our homes with the lights off (well, maybe one left on, just in case), but according to cinematographer Dean Cundey, it appears there’s one hugely important detail that a lot of people have missed.
