Needing a win to stay alive in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, the #2 camp rallied late after hanging tough all day at Talladega.

Jimmie Johnson held the race lead most of the afternoon, but just as the nine drivers who held the same stat in the prior nine races at Talladega, Johnson could not finish the day in the top spot. He is now eliminated from the postseason ranks, as is Hendrick teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr.

The final eight drivers who are going to the Eliminator Round are the three previous winners, Keselowski, Kevin Harvick and Joey Logano, as well as Ryan Newman, Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth.

Points are reset as we head to the Paperclip in the East; Martinsville is on deck.
