Offhand I'd say that this cat was tormented by apples as a kitten. I don't know, however, how you would torment someone with an apple?  Wait a second, my brother used to say "Applecore" and then someone would say, "Baltimore", then he'd say, "whose your friend?" You'd then name a friend and he'd bean the sh@t out of them with an apple. Maybe this cat used to play "applecore" with its friends.
