From little-known Dave Blaney being a top 5 trend on Twitter to a jet-fueled track dryer exploding, the Daytona 500 had it all. The only attribute that would've made it perfect is having Ricky Bobby strip down to his skivvies and sprinting around the track, pleading for Oprah Winfrey or Tom Cruise. The race, which is the first Monday night Daytona 500 ever, had wrecks aplenty, from 5-time champion Jimmie Johnson getting spun out on lap 2 to fan favorite Jeff Gordon blowing his engine mid-race.

Perhaps the most exhilarating event of the night took place under caution on lap 160 when Bogota, Colombia driver Juan Pablo Montoya collided with a jet dryer, causing an inferno to explode all over the corridor of turn three. How many points do you get for hitting one of those, anyway?

Brad Keselowski took some time to tweet to some followers and post his own photo of the blaze that charred the asphalt and singed the safer-barriers of turn three.

Matt Kenseth held off Dale Jr. at the line to win his second Daytona 500 and his 22nd career NASCAR victory.

All we truly needed, in conclusion, were more commercials from FOX, because let's face it, nobody gets tired of commercials, instead of watching the race. Looks like we're in for a wild ride this season...
