Nascar, roared into the Texas Motor Speedway over the weekend for the Samsung Mobile 500.Me, my son Gunner and our good buddy "Chuck" made the drive over to Ft.Worth to check out some Nascar action at the Great American Speedway and celebrate "Chucks" birthday over the weekend.

It sure was nice to have Gunner along to make his first road-trip as our chauffeur for the weekend. This years Samsung Mobile 500 was more about pure power than strategy; and was the first time in many years that the race featured not one yellow flag for any on the track mishaps (there were only two cautions for debris).

Jeff Gordon, started in the back of the pack and worked hard all night to finish in fourth. But, this night was all about the horse power that Jimmie Johnson and Greg Biffle had under the hood. With 60 laps to go it looked as if Johnson would cruise to victory and give Hendrick Motorsports it's 200th Nascar win.

It wasn't to be; Biffle, the Sprint Cup Series points leader, dug deep and took the lead with 30 to go and won for the second time at Texas, and his 17th career Nascar victory.

Can't wait to do it again in November.
