Football Star Jason Witten Tramples Cheerleader, Leads to Her Twitter Banishment [VIDEO]
Being a cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys may look glamorous, but it may not seem worthwhile when one gets tackled by Cowboys tight end Jason Witten.
Melissa Rae Kellerman, a 22-year-old student and four-year veteran of the Cowboys’ cheerleading squad, was minding her own business on the sidelines during the team’s annual Thanksgiving Day game when she was accidentally tackled by Witten.
She took the hit like a pro and Witten gallantly helped her to her feet. On Friday, Kellerman took to her Twitter account and posted a couple funny tweets about the ordeal, saying:
Now CNBC’s Darren Rovell is reporting Kellerman was forced to delete her Twitter account by the apparently humorless Cowboys organization, causing Rovell to tweet,
Shame on the Cowboys for pulling cheerleader @MelissaRae off Twitter, not allowing these girls to capitalize is criminal.
Accounts like @BringBakMelissa have rallied to try to get Kellerman’s Twitter privileges returned. In the meantime, check out the clip that went viral:
