Don't let the title fool you, Joey Logano dominated the day at Texas Motor Speedway after rain postponed the race until this morning. Logano was forced to pass Jeff Gordon on the last lap for the win, and succeeded.

Gordon and Logano ran 1-2 on multiple occasions during the stretches of the early afternoon. Brad Keselowski was up there working for the lead too, but a late pit road speeding penalty forced him out of contention.

Logano led comfortably most of the race and was advancing to the white flag when Kurt Busch completely lost a tire and sent debris all over turn three. Yet another Green-White-Checkered would be run. Last minute pit stops were made and Gordon's crew chief Alan Gustafson made the call for two tires, not the common four. Gordon drove off first and led the first lap under green, but the white flag was a summoner for the beast with the #22 on the side. Logano passed Gordon on the frontstretch and took the win, the seventh winner of the season on seven races.

Gordon didn't walk away empty handed, as he now leads the points standings.

Next week the drivers visit Darlington.
