It took some late-lap magic to pull off a great move on Jeff Gordon and secure another win for Hendrick Motorsports and Kasey Kahne thus far this year.

With twelve laps to go, Kasey Kahne had a 7.6 second lead on Jeff Gordon, yet as a caution for debris flew, the margin was nixed.

Gordon overtook Kahne with seven laps to go only to have the same treatment when a wreck involving Matt Kenseth happened with five laps to go.

Kahne got off to a bad restart with two laps to go, but somehow pulled a fantastic run into the tunnel turn on the tricky triangle and took over the leading spot, only to keep it and furiously run a space-building last lap.

Gordon showed some serious strength that has seemed absent as of late. Ryan Newman was up in the top five for much of the race, showing last week at Indy wasn't a fluke. His car owner, Tony Stewart, also fared well, running close to Newman all day. Jimmie Johnson finally caught a bad break and cut a tire heading into the corner, which would cause his ultimate demise, though he still salvaged a hard-earned 13th.

Next week, we race at the winding road course of Watkins Glen up in New York...
