Kasey Kahne became the third driver in NASCAR history to win a race in his 300th start. Kasey Kahne joined Rusty Wallace, and Ned Jarrett Sunday night, winning the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The victory was Kahne's first of the season, his first win for Hendrick Motorsports, and the 13th top finish in his NASCAR career.

The race was the fastest 600 ever, taking only three hours, 51 minutes, fourteen seconds, with a average speed of 155.687.

NASCAR points leader Greg Biffle, finished fourth, and has a 10 point lead over Matt Kenseth headed into Dover next weekend for the FedEx 400.  Jeff Gordon came home in seventh place.
