North Carolina continues to feel the effects of their oppressive anti-LBGT law. This is once again proof that there is a price to pay for this hateful law.

The NBA has pulled the All-Star game from Charlotte with the hope of a reschedule in 2019.

Right or wrong, kids look up to athletes. It would be just wrong to have them participate in a state that is hostile to the LGBT community.

The NBA had this to say:

While we recognize that the NBA cannot choose the law in every city, state, and country in which we do business, we do not believe we can successfully host our All-Star festivities in Charlotte in the climate created by HB2.

I'm pretty proud of private business in the U.S. While our politicians can't pull their heads out of their rears long enough to see the impact laws like this one have, at least we can count on companies like Facebook, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, the NBA and many others stepping up to the plate for equality.

The NBA joins Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Ringo Star, Circe Du Soleil and others in pulling events from the state.

I hope all states recognize that there is a strong economic price to pay for hate.
