So the other day I was waiting in a driver thru at a local coffee stop. As I approached the window to pay out the person at the window had told me that the person in front of me had paid for my order. Don't get me wrong I appreciate the gesture but I am not a fan of this type of hospitality.

Maybe I am over thinking this but I ordered our coffee which was right at $13. Now the person in front of me knew what my total was so when I went to pick mine up the person said my order was paid for. Now my first response was well how much is the person's order behind me? The dude had told me $2.38 and I was stoked! I had planned on spending $13 for coffee and now I am getting it for $2.38 how awesome.

then I got to thinking what about the bro that intended to spend $2.38 on coffee but since I paid for their coffee do they feel obligated to "pay it forward" to the person behind them. What if they had an order that was $10 or even $5 the dude behind me is getting screwed! He has to double up on what they thought they were spending so to keep "good karma" and I think that is crap.

I am making a stand by saying that if this happens to me again I am just gonna accept the gesture and move on. I am not going to pay for the person behind me because I don't them to be getting the short stick.

Now to this phone call my buddy Sneed McWeed calls in and gives his thoughts on paying it forward where money is given to certain individuals that are in "need" of cash which makes for one of the funniest phone calls I have ever received.
