Politicians have argued and debated over many subjects but none as heatedly as their perception of heavy Metal.

Republican hopeful Rick Santorum has waged a war he can't win. His political strategy as of late has been to attack the "satanic qualities" of heavy metal. Are you kidding me? This from a guy that calls bands like Black Sabbath, Venom, and WASP the "brand new bands " that are demonizing our children.  I wonder if he has taken the time to research any of these bands. Perhaps he found that Blackie Lawless of WASP is now a devout Christian, or that Ozzy is on a crusade for healthier living. I'm not the most political person out there, but if this guy wants to wage war on metal, he has a hell of a fight on his hands. This guys credibility to myself and any other metal fan out there can be seen by looking up the definition to his last name.

Here is an excerpt from the article:

Rick Santorum has been on the offensive lately, but his target has not been Republican frontrunner Mitt Romney or even President Barack Obama.  For the past week, Santorum has been using his campaign to take aim at an issue he feels to be the single most dangerous force in America today: Satanism in heavy metal.

“If you listen to the radio today, many of these brand new, so-called heavy metal music bands like Black Sabbath, Venom, The WASP and Iron Maiden use satanic imagery to corrupt the minds of young people,” announced Santorum at a 10,000 dollar a plate sock-hop in Valdosta, Georgia on Thursday.
