Some of you may not know that I grew up in Iowa until I graduated high school and moved to Texas.

As I get older, I think back to those early years and going to the Martin Farm where my grandparents lived. I can look back on those days and really appreciate them for what they where.

I'm not sure how long Grandpa and Grandma Martin have had the farm in Riceville, Iowa, which is 40 miles west of my hometown of Decorah where my Grandparents raised their family of five. My dad was the only boy.

The Martin Farm was just a typical farm. It had cows, pigs and a huge chicken house with hens which laid eggs by the thousands.

There were several firsts that I remember about the farm, and several memories: the time I put my Dad's Malibu in the ditch; when my cousin Matt and I almost burned down the chicken house; and when I caught my Grandpa Martin smoking.

I have nothing but the best memories of my grandparents' farm. Check out the video below for more memories.
