Back in 2008, the band was getting ready to release an album under the name "Eros" until Chi Cheng was involved in a coma-inducing car accident that eventually led to his death earlier this year. That album will finally be released for people to hear.
The Deftones were in St. Louis on Wednesday, the day that the news of Chris Kelly from Kris Kross was found dead. So at their show that night they payed tribute the best way they know how.
Many rockers from multiple bands have sent their respects and condolences to Chi Cheng and his family after Cheng was pronounced dead early Saturday.
Okay, the thing that strikes me the most about this video is, "why is this statue playing with the ball from the cover of Van Halen's 5150 album?". Oh, that and Metallica and The Red Hot Chili Peppers together. More after the jump.

September 25, 2012 Deftones recently threw down at the Epicenter festival at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, California. During their set they performed for the first time their new track "Leathers" which you can check out here.
