Flea Guest Stars On "The Gorburger Show" [VIDEO]

I'm new to the "Gorburger Show". Evidently Gorburger is a foul mouthed alien who destroyed the staff of a Japanese talk show and now hosts it himself (itself?). So this "Gorburger" looks like a scary version of the old Sid & Marty Krofft Puppets (Banana Splits, Sigmund & The Sea Monsters, H.R. Puff n' Stuff). Okay, some of you younger types are shaking your heads right now, so let me just say he's a big blue mascot/monster space alien thing.

Flea started the band with Anthony Kiedis, Jack Irons and Hillel Slovak back in 1983. Flea and Anthony keep the fires burning having just placed the Austin City Limits Festival this past weekend. There are some songs that just take you to a different place when you hear them. "Brendan's Death Song" is one of those songs for me. This is just an epic tune. The fact that it starts slow ALMOST makes you forget that the jam in the middle is absolutely epic. Flea is just tearing it up. There's only one downside to the video. I do get the opportunity to pop a full length c.d. or download in every once in a while. There's a few that have really caught my attention and took over the "repeat" button. You probably have sampled even more full c.d.s than me, since I have to listen to all the singles that come my way as well as monitor the radio station. So I have a little list for you of some of my favorite c.d.s from the last few years that I didn't think got the attention approriate to the amount they deserve. The reasons could be anything, lack of promotion, they've outgrown their audience, and in one case, the c.d. is still on the charts and my yet earn the status I think it deserves. Sometimes the only way you can "be there' is through film or a telecast of some sort. For me, I find most concert broadcasts to be lacking in the energy of a live show. I, however REALLY enjoyed the Red Hot Chili Peppers "I'm With You" broadcast, The AC/DC "No Bull" in Spain dvd and and the Slipknot Disaster Pieces dvd. What about you? Have you seen any great live shows on the t.v.?

It's no secret that I'm a HUGE fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I think the new project "I'm With You" is sheer brilliance from beginning to end. The album never lets up and delivers a cohesive project that stands up together as well as individual tracks. What I'm trying to say is they made an "ALBUM" not just a series of songs. If your a fan of the band you can now keep up with the band with new Android and I-Phone Apps.

TMZ is reporting that the Red Hot Chili Peppers have put their U.S. tour on hold. At issue is a "jacked up foot" on singer Anthony Kiedis. Anthony has already had surgery on the foot and is expected to make a full recovery, but the rehab time will set the shows back. More after the jump.
